I have the exact same problem, replicating in real time with CommVault CDR. CPU will go up in spike from time to time, slowing every database access. Stopping the replication service will get ADS.exe from 30%CPU down to regular 3-4%.
I suspect all the .tmp files that are created on the fly. Can ADS be configured to place those files in an alternate folder, which would not be taken in charge by replication?
